Happy National Coffee Day!

I don't know who declared September 29 as National Coffee Day, but why not? Most readers of this website would agree that coffee is our most wonderful beverage and it surely deserves a national day of respect.

What would life be without coffee? Most of us cannot handle a few hours without coffee. It is time we set aside a day of reverence for coffee. How to celebrate? I don't know but I'll think of something. Share your thoughts on how to celebrate.

Don't forget, all you teachers and home-schooler parents, you can get a free cup at Starbucks today. Go for it!

Happy National Coffee Day to all.

Celebrate by going to your favorite coffee house. Order the most expensive drink on the menu (you know, the drink you've always wanted to try), and then give the barista a $10 tip. Thank him for his good work.

I love coffee and all, but personally I am super-saturated with "days" and "months" to celebrate this national thing or that.

Most of the time they turn out to be excuses for bad marketing pitches. So I'd be plenty happy if we put a moratorium on any future "National [anything] Day"s.

Robert must be a barista! We go out every Tuesday evening for coffee and always give her $1 tip--not huge, but my son, who was a barista until recently said not many give that much.
