Peet's Coffee & Tea Shares Jump

NEW YORK — Shares of Peet's Coffee & Tea Inc. soared on Wednesday a day after the coffee shop chain posted better-than-expected first-quarter results and as an analyst praised the company's performance.

Peet's posted a profit of 16 cents per share, ahead of Wall Street estimates by 2 cents.
