Green Mountain Coffee buys single-cup brewing systems firm

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. has agreed to acquire the remaining shares of privately held Keurig Inc. of Wakefield, Mass., in a $104 million deal that will give the Waterbury-based coffee company control of a fast growing player in the single-cup brewing systems market.
Green Mountain Coffee currently owns about 35 percent of Keurig, which markets premium single-cup coffee brewing systems for the office and the home.
