Interesting. For about the last 10 years, we have been asked to send parchment to a Rabbi in Israel. We imagine the difficulty of the people peeling parchment off 10 pounds of our Kona. Must take forever. But we are happy to do it. Last year the package did not get through Customs via USPS, so this year his contact in NYC suggested we use pricey FedEx. It worked although it took 7 days instead of the stated 5 days. Fun for us.We do have several more requests for parchment at Passover time, but they are for only 2 or 3 pounds.
aloha,
Cea
