Community Coffee Pledges Over Five Million
Cups of Coffee to the Relief Effort

BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- With manufacturing and distribution systems up and running, Community Coffee Company's primary focus has been to donate coffee to relief organizations, service all customers open for business, and ensure the well being of its displaced employees.

In the first four days following the catastrophe, Community Coffee employees, working with numerous volunteers and relief organizations, including the Red Cross, Salvation Army, Second Harvest, the U.S. military, and local police, provided over 3,000 pounds of Louisiana's favorite coffee to 140 shelters throughout the Gulf Coast Region. In addition, throughout the month of September, CC's Coffee Houses will collect donations for the Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund through drop boxes at each location.

"We are proud of our employees for working closely with local volunteers and relief organizations to provide comfort to those impacted by this natural disaster," said Matthew Saurage, President of Community Coffee Company. As a fourth generation family-owned South Louisiana based business, Community Coffee Company's thoughts and prayers go out to all friends and neighbors impacted by this natural disaster.
